This factor determines how easy or difficult it would be to rank for a particular keyword.
Ultimately, for a keyword to be worth the effort, it should drive sufficient traffic and possess business value that aligns with your goals.

When assessing the ranking difficulty of a keyword, there are several factors to consider.
Search intent
Question: Do some of the top-ranking pages fault to closely match search intent?
Check using the 3 C’s of search intent:
Content type: blog posts, video, product category, landing pages
Content format: how tos, step-by-step, tool, calculator
Content angle: the hook someone will click on your page
Metrics
Backlinks = The number of websites that are linking to the page (referring domains)
Question: Can I get more quality backlinks than other pages?
Website authority
Domain rating = the overall strength of a website’s backlink profile
Question: Is my website in a similar DR range or higher than the top-ranking websites?
Topical authority
Question: Is my website equally or more topically authoritative than the top-ranking websites?
Strive for as many "YES" responses as possible. The more affirmative answers you have, the higher your chances of ranking successfully.
Correct Application of Keywords
